Phase I Desk Study Assessments
PT Ground Solutions can support our clients through the initial stages of the planning process, by undertaking comprehensive Phase I assessments, known as a desk study. These are tailored and targeted to specific project requirements and will ultimately aim to provide a preliminary assessment of your project risk from an environmental and a geotechnical perspective.

We understand the processes involved and our Phase I assessments will be fully industry compliant in accordance with relevant standards and codes of practice.

Our team of professionals have supported clients through detailed planning applications and have supported large 'Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects' by inputting into the associated Development Consent Orders (DCO) for the schemes.

Site Walkover
A site walkover is often required as part of the initial planning stages. The information gathered from a walkover will usually be presented within the Phase I Desk Study Assessment. It can help to identify specific site hazards or potential site receptors and is a valuable step in assessing site conditions prior to mobilising for any further investigation works. PT Ground Solution's experienced professionals have completed site walkovers across various industries throughout the UK and Ireland for residential, power, industrial, nuclear and infrastructure developments.

Mining Risk Assessments
We can also support your projects, where suspected historical mining activities may have occurred. We have significant experience of assessing the risk from historical mining, which is a statutory planning requirement for development of land in areas where mining may have occurred. We can support our clients with a fully detailed Mining Risk Assessment, which will identify any potential hazards, which may impact on the safe development and operation of the site. It will provide recommendations for any further works, which may include intrusive ground investigation to better assess the risks that have been identified and / or any proposed remedial works to mitigate ground instability, ground gas or subsidence risks.
